ACME IncredibLED
The IncredibLED is the latest addition to ACME's popular range of LED powered DJ lighting effects. An arrangement of seven individually angled lenses project a total of 84 beams of light, each powered by a single 5mm LED light-source. Each lens has an independently controllable 3x4 grid of LEDs, comprising three each of red, green, blue and white LEDs. The arrangement of the IncredibLED's lenses means that it has a very wide, but also thin, projection angle that sets it apart from the other units in the range.

As with the other models in the ACME LED range the IncredibLED offers four control options. For simple 'plug & play' operation there is a standalone mode (with sound activation provided by an internal mic). For larger light shows multiple units can be linked together for master/slave synchronisation, while a ¼" jack socket allows one of ACME's CA-8 mini controllers (sold separately) to be connected for fingertip control of strobing, blackout and internal programs. Finally full DMX control is also provided so that the IncredibLED can be incorporated into a large lighting display or to allow users to create custom patterns.

Mode selection and DMX addressing is carried out using a menu interface provided by a 4-segment LED display and 4 small push buttons at the rear of the unit. There are also four LEDs to provide visual indicators for DMX receiving, sound signal receiving, master mode and slave mode. XLR connections for linking multiple units are also located on the back panel, together with IEC input and output connections. It's good to see that IEC output sockets seem to have become a standard for ACME's LED range, this allows the power for a number of units to be 'daisy-chained' together to eliminate the tangle of cables that can all too easily make our mobile rigs look untidy. I have started cable tying together IEC and XLR cable of the same length so that effectively a single cable can be used to link both power and signal between the lighting effects on my rig.
