Quantity or Quality? When my radio career started, over 25 years ago, I was already a mobile DJ and therefore well versed in the art of cueing a vinyl record. The process involved spinning the platter backwards and forwards to find the start of the song, then back-winding a quarter of a turn of the deck so that when I started the turntable and opened the fader, the audio would hit the speakers at full volume and at the correct speed.
