In the last issue, I explained that small local radio stations work to tight budgets when employing presenters. Consequently, you cannot expect to earn a King's ransom from Local FM. I also explained that the smaller stations look toward employing jocks as staff, as opposed to on a freelance basis, simply because it makes more economical sense to ask a jock to multitask rather than just come in, do a show and go home.
